Any comments or suggestions let me know. I am open to any advice. Making this might take a while since I am new to this and have never tried to program anything on my own.
Outline for "The Narn Gambit"
Ships Required
• EAS Agamemnon (Omega)
• EAS Perseus (Omega)
• EAS Virginia (Omega) need to create skin for ship
• EAS Schwartkopf (Nova)
• EAS Monolith (Nova)
• EAS Hyperion (Hyperion)
• EAS Keyes (Hyperion, Needs skin Made)
• EAS Promethues (Hyperion)
• EAS Athena (Hyperion)
• 2 Earth Transports
• Io Transfer Point
• Several other Earth Transports and 2 more Earth Warships the EAS Achilles(Omega) and EAS Lexington (Hyperion)
• G’Quon Class Cruiser (G’Lan, G’Tok, Na’Zad)
• 40+ Starfuries
• 36 Frazi heavy fighters.
• 2 Narn Transport
• 50+ Delta wing fighters
The Main story Line
• Set 2 years before Danger and Opportunity
Mission 1
• Starts at Io with the EA Ships { EAS Promethues (Hyperion), EAS Agamemnon (Omega) , EAS Perseus (Omega), and EAS Schwartkopf (Nova)}
• Those ships are receiving orders to patrol and Assist the EAS Crawford (Hyperion) in the Cooke system to take on a large group of Raiders that has been harassing the shipping lanes.
• Prior to Leaving Io Alpha 1&2 are asked to scout out the route to Epsilon Eridani due to a Report sent in by arriving transport. The Bronco had come across a Strange artifact, but was unable to place a locating beacon on the artifact.
• The Player will not find the artifact but will arrive to see several Ships waiting to jump into normal Space with supplies for the Construction of one of the Babylon stations.
• One minute after arrival at Epsilon Eridani , Alpha’s One and 2 Receive a Communication from Capt. Bustillos Commander of EAS Virginia (Omega) They are under attack in the Scheffer System. the EAS Athena is in Route found out in a REPLY to the communication. Alpha 1 &2 head to Scheffer at full speed.
• The Player will have to send a message to The Perseus to advise them of what they are doing. The Player receives a Reply Understood we are right behind you.
• Player must go by the route Epsilon Eridani -Kotok – Scheffer Mission complete. if the player takes the route Epsilon Eridani- Eridani- Scheffer The EAS Virginia and the EAS Athena are Destroyed and Mission is failed. Player will Find out Via the Final communication of the Athena.
• If Failed Communication will say “Trying to Evacuate, Fires on every deck.” followed by static
Mission 2
• 50 Raiders are attacking both the EAS Virginia and EAS AThena.
• Cut scene (hopefully) With Shot of 2 human transports Entering the Area
• Priority change. Defend transports. If transports are successfully saved. Both must be saved. End of mission after defeating all but 20 of the raiders who flee after the arrival of the Agamemnon Battle Group
Mission 3
• Mission starts with the launch of Delta squadron on a patrol to check for more raider Forces, Alpha Squadron is launched as well to patrol the area around the battle group now consisting of the
EAS Agamemnon (Omega)
EAS Perseus (Omega)
EAS Virginia (Omega) need to create skin for ship
EAS Schwartkopf (Nova)
EAS Hyperion (Hyperion)
EAS Promethues (Hyperion)
EAS Athena (Hyperion)
• Delta Squad comes back with 30 raiders hot on their tail with the EAS Monolith and EAS Keyes (Hyperion, Needs skin Made)jumping in right behind them.
• All EAS ships launch fighters to combat the Raiders
• After 12 Raiders are Destroyed the 3 G’Quon class cruisers jump into normal space with 36 Frazi Fighters.
• mission ends with cut scene, Narn voice notifying earth ships that they have been illegally attacking Narn defense forces for the liberation of the scheffer system. EAS Keyes is Destroyed by Lazers of all three G’Quon Cruisers.
Mission 4
• Mission Objective to destroy all the Narn vessels in the scheffer system
• Mission Fails if any of the of the EA ships is destroyed.

A few things to note though.
1) if you've never done any programming before, consider starting with a very small battle first. Put as many tricks into it as you can think of, so you can learn how to do them as you go. Remember the creation guide is not always accurate, don't be afraid to ask for help or clarificaitons.
2) You might want to ask devs how well the system can handle that many ships at once. One would probably need an immensely powerful machine to run such battles without slowdown. Either that, or break each battle into a series of mini battles inside the same mission.
3) note that changing locations (IO to HS, to Epsilon) requires a new mission. You can't (currently) transition from one to the other without the game "loading". Also, stringing missions together to make a campaign can be done, but is not fully supported, read more about it in the guide.
4) Currently epsilon is not a place you can "enter", you can only arrive at the beacon.
5) Finally, concentrate on tightening the story and think of what is relevant, and what isn't. It currently sounds like the player will have to fly in HS just going from one system to another (with nothing happening) for 50% of the story. Consider the "reward" for completing the campaign should have something to do with whatever the artifact is, and the Narns. This will tie it together. Right now the artifact is simply a tool to move the plot, but doesn't mean anything for the story proper.

2 as far as the artifact goes i dont know much about modeling 3D or i was going to try to create the 3rdspace artifact and as far as going out of hyperspace in eridani or epsilon eridani the player wasn't going to go into normal space at all.
3 i haven't set any of this in stone so far and i understand that you cant string missions together and that doesnt worry me at all i was planning on the player having to switch between missions on there own. Especially since i will probably be releasing one mission at a time
4 The large amounts of ships is up for debate since i just finished reading through the code manual and found out that hyperion and nova class ships can't fire so that takes most of the large scale battle out ill update the initial plan accordingly as i determine it but the EAS Virginia will definately be in there as well as the EAS Keyes wich will be destroyed he amount of narn cruisers will be changed more than likely i might build the full size battle i wanted but maybe only as a cut scene if the system can handle it it might take me a long while to build this but it is an ambitious idea but im going to work on it as much as i can
the reason why the hyperspace mission is so long is because it is going to have some easter eggs in there if i can create them if not i will shorten the mission
Possibly a shadow vessel if i can get the model made. Maybe even the vorlon planet killer
I think i might let certain people test the levels before they are fully done so that i can get feed back on them as i am developing them I would definately like to know what Shalbatana, Renderer and any one else who would like to test them out for me

Production has slowed due to the creators work schedule, and also due to his inability to program as well as he thought he was able to.
I am setting my self a release date for the first mission by the middle of Feb. 2009 for the first mission Now what is shown earlier in this thread is not the final cut. there will be alot of suprises in the final release.

I never tried any mission creating myself, though...
I'm not sure if i will make the release date due to the amount of time i am spending at work. I am still working on it. I will probably need some help on it, when it comes time to debug it though when i am at that point i will let you know.
